The spirit of Christ was in all the prophets. The phrase Spirit of Christ is derived
from the first epistle of Peter, 1v10-12, where Peter speaks of the object of the faith of the believer being the salvation of their souls or lives. He writes of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ was in them did signify when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the Glory that should folloow. That testimony was ministered not utno themselves, but unto us, the disciples, who see the fulfillment of the prophecies in New Testament times. The testimony is still unfolding in our own days.
