Since the first Christadelphian Instructor was published in 1886 there have been many changes in the educational methods of teaching children, and in the vocabulary and word usage in our community. Recognizing this, the Executive of the Australian Christadelphian Sunday School Union decided that a new Instructor be compiled for the Junior students, aged nine to eleven.

Although largely following the Instructor as originally set out by Brother Roberts, it has been written in a style more appropriate for children today, while maintaining the same basic Scripture teachings. It was of course the logical step to follow the revision of the Primary Instructor.
