“Be strong and of a good courage.”
THE command to Joshua was echoed by Catherine Morgan in her last message, the concluding article in this booklet. She wrote from hospital, faithful to the last to her undertaking to supply a short meditation for a Newsletter issued by the Christadelphian Isolation League.
Faithfulness, courage, humility, were her characteristics. Each was of that genuine kind which is unconscious of itself. It would not have occurred to her to think of herself as humble: her esteem of others to be better than herself seemed to flow from a natural candour and simplicity. She would not have thought of herself as faithful: it was merely that at whatever cost she must not “let other people down”.
Her last words in these essays are a prayer for courage, not a profession of it.
