his ‘Testimony Special’ is published to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel in 1948. It continues the well-established tradition of Special Issues of Testimony magazine, now successfully incorporated into The Christadelphian.

The establishment of the State of Israel was a landmark event in the outworking of the purpose of God with the Jewish people – His “special treasure” (Deuteronomy 14:2, NKJV). It was the preliminary fulfilment of the Bible’s frequently repeated promises about Israel’s national restoration in their own land, after centuries of dispersion and statelessness. Those promises were made first to Abraham, and are still to be completely fulfilled by the second coming of Jesus of Nazareth, the longed-for Messiah of Israel and the rightful “King of the Jews”, and they feature prominently in the thirty-eight chapters of this book.
