Beyond the Tomb is an exhortational and devotional book about how the stirring and dramatic events in the early years after Jesus’ ascension to heaven affected the ordinary folk who were his followers. It stresses the need to recognise that God has exalted His Son to a position in which he is to be worshipped as King of kings and Lord of lords, and to whom every knee must bow. The first two chapters take us to the empty tomb of our risen Lord. The next six chapters trace the major events that occurred in the first twenty years after Jesus ascended to heaven. The final seven chapters enfold us, in the twenty-first century, as his latter day followers who share the common hope with our first century counterparts in serving our Lord.
