The greatest incentive for a study of the book of Joshua is that we, more than any previous generation, are like the Children of Israel standing on the borders of the Promised Land. 

As we wait for the greater than Joshua to leas us into our inheritance, we can gain instruction and encouragement from the generation of Israelites that emerged from the wilderness after 40 years of wandering.
