In writing comprehensively about the Spirit of God, the author wisely begins with the Old Testament.

He rediscovers for us the basic truth that creation came from God, existing for Him and finally, when fully redeemed, will be embraced within Him.

Through the enlightenment God gives in His Word, and in Christ, we too have been brought to the Father of spirits. The Spirit has spoken expressly in us through the washing of water by the Word. Thus we are a new creation, held together by God in Christ, through whom we are strengthened to do all things.
