The Apostolic Example

We are living in a rapidly changing world. Values accepted fifty years ago are no longer relevant in our modern society and the impact of humanistic has changed the standards by which society is governed. Because individual rights are given precedent, right and wrong is determined by the individual experience. What is acceptable under one situation may be considered completely different in another. All moral opinions are viewed as being of equal value.

In a very subtle way, such thinking has found its way into the Christadelphian community. While it is claimed that the Scriptures are our sole authority, in reality, doctrine and fellowship practices are challenged. The internet has given license for individuals to express different doctrinal views without any accountability; individuals believe they are at liberty to make decisions as to where and with whom they can fellowship. No longer can we assume that an ecclesia, functioning under the same statement of faith, actually shares identical beliefs, or practices fellowship in the same manner as other ecclesias.

This booklet reviews the teaching of scripture with respect to doctrine and fellowship practice and compares today's practices with that of the 1st century ecclesia.
