In the Image of God

In the Image of God

A review of Scripture's consistent teaching on man and woman in the purpose of God, beginning in Genesis and concluding in Revelation
the order in which God has chosen to reveal Himself, His son and His will for us. The subject is a sensitive one, for believers must understand and apply the teaching and practice of the Lord Jesus and his apostles in an age that considers them ignorant and bigoted, and dismisses the authority of the Bible for the individual, the family, and the people of God. The fact that this teaching is out of step with modern Western society is awkward, but hardly surprising. The gospel of the cross is as countercultural today as it was in the first century. Christ's twenty first century followers must build on the first century foundation of the apostles and prophets, "Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone". "Upon this rock" the Lord is building his ecclesia. If we build, we build with Him.
