This is the fourth book in the series on the exposition of the Psalms

This volume has some of the most favoured and well known psalms of the Psalter. Fifteen of them are from the pen of David which means that final composer still had plenty of choice for composition, for while David wrote these around 1000 BC, a Psalm like 137must have been written during the Babylonian exile, some 400 years later

A significant member of this volume is Psalm 119. What a great treasure of spiritual advise it continues to be. Although we cannot be dognmatic about is author, yet its truest fulfilment is seen in the life of the Son of God. "the Word made flesh". Pslam 119 is far longer than any other, yet this book of Psalms has also the shortest member, Psalm 117 with only two verse!
