This book is written for a generation of believers who may have grown up with the impression that war was something that challenged disciples in the past, or might do so in the distant future. We are now realising that another time of testing could be upon us very soon - in some parts of the world it has already begun. we all therefore need to remember where we stand on matters of conscience in regard to war, and remind ourselves how brethren and sisters conducted themselves in earlier times of tribulaion.
