Verse by Verse Exposition of James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, JudeThough the books of the Bible are not always placed in the chronological order in which they were written, it seems as though there was a God designed
overshadowing in the positioning of each of them that witnesses to the divine inspiration of the Scriptuers as a whole. For the overal theme of each book provides a foundation for the development that follows in the theme of the next.
That is certainly the case in the books between the Epistles to the Hebrews and The Epistle of Jude. Thought the Epistle to the Hebrews probably was amoung the last penned by Paul, the Epistle of James possibly among the first of the books of the New Testament, it is appropriate to the theme of both that James should follow Hebrews. And that the Epistle of James, Peter, John and Jude should follow in that order.
Notice the appropriateness of this order in the main theme in each: . . .
