Paul's letter ahs helped countless generations since to appreciate God's love which He commended to us "in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

The thesis underlying the Letter to the Romans is summarised by the author as “The righteousness of God revealed in the gospel for man’s salvation”. Throughout his verse by verse commentary on the letter, he shows how the Apostle Paul demonstrated the thesis in the earlier chapters and how he eventually brings his readers to the practical exhortations that are called for as a result of believing the Gospel.
