The, In the New and Beautiful . . .
Light in which they appear when Interpreted by the Truth instead of being forced into Accomdadation with the Paganized Theologized of Modern Times in which they do not Belong (full title)
The Parables of Christ differ from all other parables - in that they are the authoritive enunciation of eternal truth. The form is a veiled form, but the essence is divine. Hence their paramount pre-emminence.
The meaning of them is lost to most readers for want to the key - The Kingdom of God - which is absent from modern theology. With this key restored - in the understanding of Moses and the prophets, it is possible to get at their full meaning and see their full beauty. An endeavour to display these is made in the following pages, with a degree of success or failure which must be left to the jdugement of the reader.
Though only a short booklet, this work by Robert Roberts – one of his last – deals with thirty-oneof the Lord’s parables, concisely summarising their spiritual significance for his original audience and for the disciple today.
