Hezekiah is without doubt one of the greatest characters of the Old Testament. He has not been accorded the attention or
admiration that he deserves. And his reign was one of the most exciting in all world history. More than this, we need an understanding of Hezekiah and his time to make real sense of Isaiah, of the Psalms (as these sudies in the Songs of Degreees demonstrate), of Micah, and Joel, and probably of other parts of the Old Testament.
Those who study the life of Hezekiah with care will find themselves much better equipped to understand many of the Messanic features of Psalms and prophets.
