This pack aims to provide a range of informal activites for you to do with the chidren in your class.

It is divided into 5 untis, each corresponding with a section of the syllabus. When you have taught the lesson in each section, you have the opportunity to have a quiz week, in which you use some of the activities in the appropriate unit with your class.

The aim of the activities is to help you to find out in an informal way what the children have learned from doing the lessons. You will be able to find out where there are any gaps or misunderstandings, and at the same time be able to reinforce what they have learned before moving on to the next section of lessons. The children will be able to take pride in sharing what they know with you and become more confident about what they have learned.

Within each unit there is a section containing quiz questions, and a section containing intructions for activities and games. Suggested timings are included for each activity. Many of these activities and games make use of photocopiable sheets which are included at the end of each unit. Each unit contains a wide variety of questions and activities: it may not be appropriate to use all of them in one seesion. We would like to encourage you to choose activities which you feel are most sutiable for your classes in the time you have available.
