Preformed on a Yamaha Disclavier by Steve Shuman

I got into recofrding the hymns on this CD (and others to follow) in the wake of 9-11. It helped the pain and orrow that I was feeling. Friends suggested I start sharing this recordings with others and hopefully sales would keep me from loosing part of my health insurance and car. Siknce I made these recordings to listen to myself for mediatational purposes, I played the hymns in a style that was somewhat different from the way I would play them for singing to. That said, most of the hymns of this CD can be sung to if desired, after you listen to them once to hear how I have played them.

What is a Yamaha Disclavier? It is an upright or grand accoustic (stringed) Yamaha piano that is also stuffed with all sorts of electronic (virtual) instruments and gadgetry. A black box sits on top of the piano that has buttons and dials that allow you to make various settings required to make the recording.
