These packs aim to provide a range of informal activities for the teachder to do with the children in the class. It is divided into 5 units, each corresponding with a section of the syllabus. When you have taught the lessons in each section, you have the opportunity to have a quiz week, in which to use some of the activities from the appropriate unit in your class.
The aim of the activities is to help the teacher find out, in an informal way, what the children have learned from doing the lessons. You will be able to find out where there are any gaps or misunderstandings and at the same time, be able to reinforce what they have learned before moving on to the next section of the lessons. The children will be able to take pride in sharing what they know with you and becoming more confident about what they have learned.
Within each unit there is a section containing quiz questions, and a section containing instructions for activities and games. Suggested timings are included for each activity. Many of these activities and games make use of photocopiable sheets which are included in each section. Each unit contains a wide variety of questions and activities, it may not be appropiate to use them all in one session. You are encouraged to choose activities which you feel are most suitable to your class in the time you have available. The activities for this pack are based on the New International Version.
