It has ben affirmed that Jesus paid a debt which Adam incurred. The alleged debt was that Adam through disobedience incurred a VIOLENT death. It is said that the debt was outstaind until
Christ did so as his substitute, crucifixion being a violet death.
Four Questions might be asked:
1. Is it stated anywhere in Scripture that Adam incurred a debt by transgression?
2. Did the commandment of Genesis 3 provide for a violent death?
3. Did the same commandment provide for a violent unending life of torment in hell for an immortal soul?
4. Did Jesus die as a substitute, bearing the wages of sin "in the stead" of anyone"
