There has never been any doubt in the minds of the ancient Hebrews or even Gentile Christians as to the inspiration of the Song of Solomon. It is not an account of any transactions between Solomon and any of his wives, it is pure allegory. This was clearly understood by the ancient Hebrews, and most modern Jews are of the same opinion.
